GDC 09: Square Enix silent on Last Remnant's PS3 version |

I hope nobody here's planning on holding their breath until The Last Remnant (PS3, Xbox 360) finally hits the Sony PlayStation 3, because if this report's any indication, we may not be seeing that game for a long time. If at all.According to Wired's Chris Kohler, Square Enix's Hiroshi Takai said during GDC that he can't say anything about The Last Remnant's PS3 version.
Now that statement by itself doesn't really say anything, but think about it in the context of this conversation, copied verbatim from Kohler's Wired blog post (the "I" refers to Kohler):
"The Last Remnant," I said, "was originally announced to be Square Enix's first multi-platform game. But the PlayStation 3 version hasn't come out yet. Is it still happening?"
Silence.
No one wants to speak. Finally, someone ventures: "Well, the PC version came out this week."
Me: "Yes, it did."
More silence. Everyone's kind of glancing around.
Takai: "Well, as for the PS3 version, I can't say anything about that."
Me: "Alright, then."
Maybe I'm being to pessimistic here, but that definitely doesn't sound too promising.

Dont you know that your best triumphs have been with sony?i know money is everything now...but at least they should have been at little loyal to the brand that propelled them to their godly status in the gaming world....

The main complaint was it is so rediculously short. Litterally the main story can be finished in about 4 hours. You get to "disk 2" in about 1 hr 30 minutes if you skip all the side quests.
Needless to say I was hoping for a true 40 hour game, not one thats only 40 hours IF I do EVERY side quest.
Unless the ps3 comes with all the extras the PC version came with, I wont be getting it, because with out the square enix name, this game would have gotten lower then the 6/10 it scored at most sites.

Besides, the game's not really worth it. I downloaded the game for PC, ( YES I pirated the game, I don't support filthy money-hungry bastards like Squeenix, at least not anymore) and it's still buggy. On top of that, the game was way too short and the graphics could have been much better, even on max settings.

But oh well, a company which accepts bribes to delay a version that is already complete (PS3) for MS's money, is probably not too concerned about quality - as long as MS keeps sending those bags of money!

Even all the Final Fantasy series, each title averages from 5 - 9 hours clocked with speed runs. All games that says 40 hours, 50 hours, 3000 hours mean you have to complete each and every corner stones.
