GDC 08: Lair analog patch confirmed |

For those of us who have spent some quality time with Factor 5's dragon flight simulator for the PlayStation 3, Lair, here's some very good news: the highly-rumored upcoming patch that would give players the option to choose analog controls is now confirmed, and has an ETA of this year's first quarter. Yes!
This news comes direct from this year's Games Developer Conference, where Factor 5 seems to have held a demo of the game with the patch installed. An attendee from IGN's own words can only describe our own elation:
I played it and Holy shit; Greg needs to give them a new score. It was kind of clear that Factor 5 put in the extra effort a little begrudgingly, but the results were amazing. This might push me over the edge into the “must buy PS3” territory.
Hopefully, they also fixed all the other issues plaguing the game. If they have, then Lair is going to be a very, very fine game indeed, one that deserves a re-playthrough. Updates as we get them!

it looks like i'm going to have to pick up that twenty dollar copy of lair at a store that shall not be named. how exciting! i always wanted to play this, but the reviews sacred me away. hooray!

I think most people know this by now, but in case anybody doesn't nllx and Kingofdaberbz are two 360 fanboys who had nothing better to do, saw some MORE good news for the PS3, and so decided to indulge in some more pointless console-bashing.

You know, as much as people don't like to admit it, envy and jealousy figure just as much into their actions as other feelings.
I can understand what nllx and kingofnothing are probably going through as they see a spate of good news on a console they haven't bought for games they cannot get. I can understand their probable feelings of envy and jealousy, but I cannot sympathize. That is why I regarded both these trolls as idiots.

I agree with Manny. Please let us know if we can get this game somewhere for that much. I have wanted this game for quite some time, but had held back because of the Control issues. And if I can get this game for just 20 bucks, that would be real sweet.

We should be able to get it cheap used. well ill have somthing to look forward to for my paperweight(Tha ts what im going to call my PS3 until some really good games come out.) Believe me Ive played the good ones to death! Less talk more Games!!
