GC 2007: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots trailer

Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots isn't due out until next year for the Sony PlayStation 3, but that doesn't mean we can't get as excited with it as we are now. A new trailer was shown in GC 2007 at Leipzig and man, does it look great! Check it out:

Okay, we've got the standard-issue soldiers here again whom we'll probably enjoy practicing our CQC moves on by the time the video game hits. The audio was pretty bad in this clip of Konami Digital's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but have patience because we're about to see a new spook in town (as if Vamp wasn't enough).

Whoa! Who was that guy (or thing) floating around with weird powers? It isn't like anything or anyone we've ever seen in the series before. Kinda reminds us of Diablo II's Andariel, actually. Well, that's the case with being MGS fans, we'll always be left hanging with its trailers. We'll keep you posted for more on GC 2007.

Sorry I got a little excited and had a feeling that i may have been the first one. The MG series is my favorite video game series of all time. It's almost all I play. I research it like crazy. I had been waiting on that trailer for a few days and when it finally appeared online I was suprised it wasn't already on QJ so I thought here is my chance to break a story. Altough I prolly wasnt the only one.

Can't wait for MGS4. The release date is supposed to be announced shortly.

I always loved the art and character design in Metal Gear Solid gamers. Looks like its going to be an epic boss fight between Snake and beauty and the beast.

I've got to be honest here and say that MGS's graphics are not impressing me at all. I've seen nearly every preview video and they all look pretty bland and last-genish to me. Looks like playstation 2.5.

Last genish? ROfL. The PS2.5 was named the XBlowx711, which is reaching its max potential already. And how does it look bland? The animation looks more realistic than COD4, Crysis, UT3, and Halo3. The level of detail is as high, so I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're just mad because Halo 3 should be titled H2.5.

Grow up. Its Xbox360 and PS3, not PS2.52 or XBlowx711. Secondly, MGS4 looks amazing but the animation does need some work. Its probably the way it is because that is one of the signatures of MGS games.

Both MGS4 and Halo 3 are next-gen games. Each bring something new and each have their own unique properties. Lets drop the childish bickering.
