Gamestop Reveals PS3 Launch Date Titles and More

Gamestop$59.99 could be the magic number for PlayStation 3 as an alleged Gamestop internal memo began surfacing and circulating around the internet. Accordingly, the leaked announcement lists 36 PlayStation 3 titles, including prices, that are being scheduled for release between launch date November 17 and May 1 next year.


Curiously, the list suggests that a few of the titles will be available before the Sony's next-gen console itself hits store shelves. The PlayStation launch line-up could very well include the titles listed below. Those in bold are PS3 exclusives.

Ps3 wotn have all those game so soon.360 had like 40 games listed for launch and only like 10 really made it and Ps3 devs had alot less time then then the 360 devs.

Ive seen the same listings at Game stop for well over 2 and a half months, im suprised this hasnt came up sooner than this. but if i remember right the list goes all the way into febuary march and is at least a page and a half to 2 pages long, so yes this is photoshoped but its not fake

I worked for GameStop for many years and I am very familiar with the internal emails which are called B-mail. (stands 4 Babbages email) The sku's are real, all sku's are 6 digits long and the 1st 2 numbers indicate the system. Example PS2-28, PS1-26, GameCube-22 Xbox-23 and so on. As for the release dates it is very common for GameStop to put in a "ruff" release date which often can change multiple times. So just because it says it is coming out on so and so does not mean that it is. Also, some games do come out b4 the launch date of new systems. It happens all of the time.

Doesn't seem too odd to me. I clearly recall that (in the UK) Smuggler's Run for the PS2 was available to buy about 2 weeks before the PS2 console launched.

By the way, LMAO, 360 didn't have 40 games at launch,(probabl y doesn't even have 40 right now) I seem to recall I had like 12 or something.

If the game came out within 2 months of the console's launch they called it a "launch title". When it was out the door however they had few titles.



Here the official 15 titles available in the launch window:

Some might still not believe it, but this list is NOT fake. I work at gamestop right now in California, and any customer that walks in can see this list. It is a page coupled with the release list for all systems, and we show it to customers on a regular basis.



Whether these dates and prices are 100% accurate is unknown, however, this is as official as its gonna get for now.



If you still dont believe it, walk into Gamestop and ask to see the release date sheets for systems.

Why are ALL the games teh same price, both First party and third party....you know why? Becuz it is just a price put on there, becuase they do not know the official price....basically meaning that the prices are FAKE. The release dates however could be true...no doubt.



And look at the dates people...not all of those titles are launch titles, use your brain..sheesh.



Theres 19 release titles for the PS3....the dates are on there...
