Listed in: PS3 Tags: GAMESCom, NASCAR, playstation 3 updates, PlayStation Network, Polyphony Digital
Ó
Handed out at the GamesCom convention in Cologne last week, the German brochure (translated) had this to say about the super-racing game:
Developer: Polyphony - Platform: PS3
Genre: Racing - Number of Players: T.B.A.
Release: 4th Quarter of 2009
THE
ULTIMATE RACING GAME RETURNS
1000 cars to race on incredible detailed racetracks and unlock PlayStation Trophies ... The new NASCAR and WRC championships improve the Gran Turismo experience. Players are challenged to fight their way up the online leaderboards against other racedrivers from all over the world.
We'll be holding on to their word now, unless of course the brochure gets wet and melts away or something.

I must say I was a little disappointed when I heard that not all cars are going to have full interiors and damage, but none-the-less, a next gen full-length Gran Turismo game? I'll take it. Even with the lack of the two things listed above, with 1,000 cars and 80 tracks, it's not like anyone will be complaining about a lack of content.

And if you haven't played the Dirt 2 demo... Get it. Its fun. Hella fun.
And don't compare these games to motorstorm, especially dirt vs motorstorm, they are 2 completely different games. One is more arcade, while the other is more Racing sim.

According to gamespot, if you pre-order GT5 you get a copy of GT for PSP free. That is a nice bonus for pre-ordering.
I am going to ask about it when I buy my PSP-go and if it's true, I will lay down a pre-order for GT:5 right away.
