German gaming news site GameFront reports that several new details regarding Factor 5's upcoming PS3 title Lair have surfaced on the latest Game Informer. Below is as much information as we can get from the original German report.

As far as the story is concerned, Game Informer let it be known that the nameless knight we've always been seeing in preview media for the game is a soldier participating in a war that spans the whole continent. It is also revealed that the dragons do not speak and that they are beasts bred only for the fight.

Speaking of dragons, it is divulged that the dragon that the protagonist rides is often a constant companion and is the only one "allied" with you. The dragon can burn or eat opposing soldiers, it can also swat smaller opponents with its tail or its wings.

Revealed gameplay information include details about the in-game maps. Apparently, the most of the fights (and missions) take place in mission-based arenas, which have an extent of up to 32 square kilometers. Most fights will focus on close-in engagements. As previewed in several gameplay trailers before, players can "hijack" hostile dragons.

GameFront reports that Factor 5 is focusing on the solo experience of the game. They add that multiplayer variants and features for the game are improbable.

Well, that's all of it. We'll keep you updated as soon as more information on this game is made available. Stay tuned.
