Game behind mysterious countdown confirmed: Siren New Translation |

Yep, you read right. We're talking about Siren, the stealth-based survival video game released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2003. According to Famitsu, the new game is actually a re-worked version of the PS2 game.
The Japanese magazine added that the game will now be known as Siren New Translation and will be released on July 24. A demo, Famitsu mentioned, will be released this coming April 24.
This is actually good news for fans of the genre especially for those who have tried the first iteration on the PlayStation 2. However, there is still no word if Sony Computer Entertainment is planning on an international release. In the meantime, keep checking back here at QJ.NET for more updates on this game.

Just as some of thought the other day. Hopefully this game will be much better than its predcessors.
Now they're porting over PS2 games to the PS3. The PS3 doesn't need any ported over last gen games like the Wii.
if the developers put a good graphics(PS3 standard) and a good gameplay, Siren become as good as another game for the people who didn't play the PS2 version.
your saying that you wouldn't want to see all the metal gears to be reworked to look like mgs4 your so lame
how will it be better for the ones who played the last game its a port they get to pay more money to play something they already have and have fun ?
I would want Mgs2 to look like Mgs4 if they actually would do it (but obviously not many developers do that).
i wasn't saying that a reworked mgs2 would be lame i was saying that m sense was is lame i love metal gear games
this gamw seems fit to have a graphics makeover. you cannot use your analogies all the time. there are tons of titles that can become billion dollars hits if there is a large market behind it. say FF7, i'll be damned sure it can topple whatever the new ffxiii series can do in terms of sales if FF7 is remade in the ps3 with updated graphics. and even old school arcade games like bionic commando has been treated with a large welcome!
previous post was supposed to be an answer to Mister Common Sense comment below. anyways i would like to play this game in english on the ps3 coz i never had the chance way back then ps2 era due to too many other popular titles.
