Free Radical's Haze for the PS3 - Image 1

Ubisoft and Free Radical's Haze has just faced another delay with its aborted May 22 European release date. But the buzz about the upcoming FPS game is still all about its exclusivity to the Sony Playstation 3.

Speculations still run around the rumor mill even though publisher Ubisoft has already confirmed this issue time and time again. But truth be told, there seems to be enough fuel to keep the hearsay harking - Haze was originally pegged for three platforms. Moreover, Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed was first announced as a Sony PS3 exclusive, but ended up seeing the light of day for Microsoft Xbox 360, PC, and the Nintendo DS.

But developer Free RadicalÂ’s script writer Rob Yescombe wants to end the ruckus once and for all. In an interview with Ripten, Yescombe clarifies: "WeÂ’re a Playstation 3 exclusive. If by some magical wave of the wand that happens, I wonÂ’t be complaining. But weÂ’re a Playstation 3 exclusive."

There you go, as categorical as it gets. But we doubt this statement from Yescombe will turn into gospel. Not until Haze gets released, rumors will still persist.

» Meh

If Free Radical says it, it's true, believe me. If they say that the Earth will explode in 3 seconds, I'll believe them.

But, true, anything can happen.

» In other words....

If someone pays us money to put it on their console we will, but no one cares about haze, so we are happy having at least one console to develop for....

» yup

that about sums it up right there...

Exactly what I expected. Now that it is only on PS3, everyone's gonna get pissy and talk about how bad it sucks.

Free Radical made tons of money from the TimeSplitters games, as well as Second Sight. The team mostly consists of ex- Goldeneye 007 developers. I don't think them going exclusive will waste money at all.

» I have no idea the quality of this game

But this reminds me a lot of MGS 4: news that it may be multi-plat (well, rumors)--OMG told you PS3 sukcxors fial lol.

News that it is PS3 exclusive: Whatever; boring overrated crap.

» I love how...

The 360 fanboys dismiss anything that's not for the 360 as crap, and then when they get something like Lost Odyssey which is just a Final Fantasy copy they make it out like they got something amazing. I hope this game is a killer app.

» and we dont even care if.....

it launches on the 360 first!

» Few Things.

1. Haze will most likely not be that great. I hope it is cause that will make it one another one of PS3 hordes of great exclusives this year; I just don't think it will.

2. While Lost Odyssey was definitely like a direct copy of Final Fantasy X, it was honestly a *****ing great game.

3. Barakku: I have noticed the exact same pattern. I have seen so many ppl say MGS4 will suck. I laugh at them....so very very hard.
