While the action may not seem as fast and fluid as its PC version, there's no contention that Epic Games' Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) for the Sony PlayStation 3 looks pretty sweet, and we get more of an eyeful of the proof in this massive gameplay update. Featuring ridiculously-detailed weapons and over-the-top weapon effects, Mark Rein and the gang over at Epic has certainly set the bar of console First Person Shooters.

If you're looking to eyeball the visuals of Unreal Tournament 3 on any other console, you won't find any here, as this gameplay video blowout is all about the PS3 and its Cell Processor-powered graphics. You just have to love how smooth everything plays out, you don't even notice the fact that it's been slowed down a bit for console gameplay. Definitely a must-buy for any FPS fan.

Enjoy the videos!

» I really wanted to buy this game but...

so many people in my list that bought the game said that this game suck so... I really wanted to know...

» I bought it

And can tell you it doesn't suck. Im playing it right now. (and lets put it this way) im playing on a SDTV and the game still has tons detail in everything, its crazy. The only thing thats wrong with it is the game doesn't have open mic's. People havent found out yet but the default mic button is right on the D-pad (although if you go to settings you can change the button to L3 or any other button you want it to be.)

So besides that the game is really fun. But it takes a little while to get used to it.

» open mics suck

I'm glad it's press to talk, that's a far better option compared to open mics.

» hey man i'm on your list

and i would be another person who would tell you that i enjoyed Resistance heaps more than UT3...

i'm actually back to playing again Assassins and Drake for the nth time and doing some NBA2K8 from time to time rather than UT3 and it is my newest game...

» I guess it really depends on content.

If you're a die-hard UT fan, you might reconsider purchasing UT3. But there's a lot missing that I was hoping to come included with the initial release, so I'm waiting for the necessary mods to come out before I'd buy the game.

It rocks. That's all I can say. lol It's fun, addicting (man I'm gonna fail my last two exams at this rate...) and the graphics are intense!!! I can imagine why a person would give it a low rating or say it sux though.

The game itself is fun; 'cause it's all meant for Online play. The offline mode just doesn't cut it... it's more or less a tutorial/map-introduction to the levels you play online. It's not much of a singleplayer experience. I wished they did better for the SP, but the Online is well worth it.

» Fantastic game

It's an amazing game...graphics, sound, the whole package.

Anyone who bought this for the offline mode has obviously never played any of the UT games...online is where it's at.

If you want quicker gameplay, use a keyboard and mouse, far more responsive.

» In a fast game like UT3

they should have made it open mic. I hate having to press a button to talk all the time. Cod4 did good but they should have put it so you can mute people you dont wanna hear.

» Beats Halo.

The game looks awesome! The weapons look coll (looks like a combination of Ratchet&Clank and Halo weapons) I'm looking forward to this game when i am able to buy a PS3.

» Halo?

Beats Halo? Excuse you...that's like saying the PS2 beat the dreamcast. Anyone that actually plays FPS games'll tell you UT is the king. Don't compare baseball to T-ball, please.
