Midway Games' Ed Boon and DC Comics' Jimmy Palmiotti were at Comic-Con to announce some new revelations for Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), and we certainly like what they're introducing. Four new characters have been announced for the game, two from each side, and they should bring in some interesting play mechanics that ought to spice things up.

According to Boon and Palmiotti, the Joker and Green Lantern were revealed for the DC side of the game, while Jax and Kitana were shown off for the Mortal Kombat side. Boon also revealed that Jimmy Palmiotti himself would be a part of the game as an unlockable character, though details for getting him and what he would look like in the final version of the game have yet to be revealed.

Also announced at the event was a MK vs. DC comic book. This comic would be included in the limited edition of the game, and will be illustrated by John Tobias, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat. In addition, information regarding the rest of the game's roster and the final boss of the game will be revealed in the coming months, so keep checking QJ for updates.
