Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Z franchise just keeps on expanding long after the anime series came to an end. This time, Son Goku and the rest of the gang are raring to go next-gen with the announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for the Microsoft Xbox 360  and Sony  PlayStation 3.

We've got the first three official screenshots released by developers Namco Bandai and publisher Atari. As usual, they're looking chock-full of the frenetic anime action that we've all come to expect.

Aside from improved visuals, online play will be one of Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit's main features. Not a lot of details have been unearthed so far, but you can bet we'll give them to you as soon as they're available. In the meantime, feast your eyes on these images.

i like dbz it's my favorite franchise tbh but these graphics horrible it's ps2/wii graphics im 4 gameplay so ill still get it,but this game better have story mode,covering the whole series and maybe even dragon ball

» um word

its cell shaded wtf were you guys expecting? the transparency is used to add more effects etc although it is unrealistic compared to the show. You guys don't appreciate these gfx because you don't see the small stuff. Theres no more broken lines(aliasing) there alot more shadows and better coloring etc.

» you know..

it isn't always about graphics. if you are playing games cuz of graphics, go find a new hobby, Otherwise, shut up with the ' OMFG THESE GRAPHICS SUCK!' They look good either way! You can only make an Anime video game look so realistic.

» hmm

Yeah it does look better. But I see aliasing, especially in the close up. But, I agree with ya that they're not appreciative of the style.

» True...

but the thing is the Nartuo rise of a ninja game was done WAY better then this.....so there is plenty of room for complaints....

And if you don't care about GFX you must still be playing games on your NES and havn't picked up any "next" gen console since.....right ?

That's what I thought....

@Rawrskies : Wtf?

@Shatterdome : no, I have a wii, a ps3, and a 360 thank you very much. I think graphics are a great thing, but its not the BIG selling point for games in my opinion. It's more about how the game plays and in RPG's how the story is. That is the point im making. I didn't think it was that hard of a comparison, but apparently you feel more inclined to being an internet jackass instead with trying to insult me for not loving graphics too much.

and yes, I do agree 100% with you that there is plenty of room for improvements and yes the Naruto game was done Very well.
