Doesnt the 360 have its on store as well? Wow. Im sure Sony has been planning on this for years Huh. Whats next? motion sensor control, online like live, a ps3 menu in the center of the controller.... oh that already happened. When will sony become innovative.

#2 okay wtf. Whats innovative about live ? It's kinda like steam if you think about it nothing else. Motion sensor controll is nice and there's nothing spelial about having a home bottom... And a store christ, whats innovative about that ? then ms ripped of apple or what ?

live came before steam. And u cant compare a 360 store (video game products store) to an Apple products store (Computers, Apps, and hardware, etc). And the the things we dont use or take for granted might not seem special, but if they come with a new one without it, u will see how special it really was. I also mean about rumble.

Hmm you might be right on the live actually, but i still dont think thats its innovative becauase it seriously doesnt need much thinking to come up with something like that (live is nice dont get me wrong).

Its a brand owned shop. Of course you can compare a xbox store and a apple store. It's like saying that you can't compare a shoestore with a clothstore :)

The 360 store was built in Japan to drum up excitement for the 360 before and after launch. It actually wasnt a store per se, but more of a cyber-cafe. Merely a publicity building. I think it did "eventually" manage to offer 360's for sale, but the thing never made a profit. This Playstation store is a good idea (since playstation is big enough a brand to have its own shop).

But I am sure according to you JP, sony copied someone else in every respect. Keep in mind, the 360 camera is a copy of a sony idea. You could also say that the HDDVD drive is an attempt to catch up with sony. But im sure the most dedicated microsoft fanboy has an explanation for anything, regardless of how idiotic it may be.

i could have swore that Sony had a store in San Francisco or something called the Sony Metreon for a few years now.

i also think that Pelican had designed a motion sensitive controller for the original Playstation back in 95 or so.

i'm also pretty sure that Gamespot had a downloadable internet service and online gaming long before X Box Live.

but hey, that's just me.

the whole "he's copying me, she's copying him" thing reeks of grade school. i mean, for pete's sake, is Burger King stealing from Mc Donalds because they both sell hamburgers? is Hollywood Video stealing from Blockbuster because they both rent movies? come on, people. yes, Sony is starting an online service like live. yes, Sony is finally implementing motion sensitivity into it's controllers as a standard, and not as an optional add on. yes, Sony is opening up a store specifically to sell Playstation products. so. friggin. what. jesus christ.

It's still here. I've walked past quite a few times. But not being a Sony fan haven't gone in.

They have clothes too which is pretty cool. Jumpers and T-Shirts. Wish there was a Nintendo store here =(

# what the hell does opening a retail store have anything to do with the SCE team?Guest 2006-06-25 21:21
I mean seriously, people who bash console they dont like are wasting everyone's time.

If you dont like it then why are you here?

And don't be talking about innovations, why? because look at all these altered hardware on all playstation. Compare these to xbox's pc generic mildly altered parts, well maybe the 360 ibm procesors is not very generic but you know the rest is.

sure I agree the xbox 360 is in great standing as i own one, but please if you dont like it, dont say anything about it.

that is unless you got nothing better to do?

# Everything Playstation, even "third party, you name it?"Guest 2006-06-30 08:51
I extremely doubt that this PlayStation Shop will be stocking third party items such as the new PSP ModChip.
