First details from Rebellion's new Aliens vs Predator game |
Ó

Jason Kingsley, co-founder of Aliens vs Predator video game developer Rebellion Developments, has dished out a few details about their upcoming entry in the long-running franchise.
The game is set about 30 years after the "Aliens" movie and takes place on a new planet where colonists discover some ancient ruins. This catches the attention of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, who conducts a more thorough sweep of the planet. After the company finds what they were looking for all hell breaks lose.
Just like the original Aliens vs Predator, players will be able to choose from three classes: Aliens, Predators, and Marines. Each class will have their own distinct abilities and single-player campaign.
In an interview with PSW, Kinglsey also revealed that the new title is no longer constrained by hardware limitations that kept the developers from including all their ideas in the previous games:
We always had many more ideas that we wanted to put into the previous games, but were limited by the hardware of the time. Now we have been able to push things far further than before. So there's plenty of inspiration and features from the previous games, including the key, iconic weapons and equipment from the 1999 game forming the basis for the latest version's gameplay.
Rebellion and publisher Sega's new Aliens vs Predator game, tentatively titled Aliens vs Predator 3, is being prepared for a 2010 release.

Awesome! I loved AVP1 and 2. I have kept AVP2 installed since I first got it and reply it at least once a year.
Now that 3 is coming I think I can finally uninstall AVP2.
The sound of the minigun from AvP2 is one of the greatest. Makes you smile everytime you start chewing ^^ I hope they put that on AvP3 as well.
