On December 6, most of us woke up to the rather surprising fact that Firmware 1.3 has landed for our PS3s. A week later (that would be today...), we are again given a surprise with the new update, Firmware 1.31. When we said that these update things just might be a monthly routine, we didn't think it would be this fast!Anyhow, we're still not sure as to what this update does exactly as of yet. We've checked over at the official PS3 site, but as of press time, they still have the update info for 1.30. We're keeping our fingers crossed hoping that the update includes enhancements for the system's backwards compatibility.
We're updating our own unit as we speak, so we'll hook you up with the newsies once it's done. Now, we're off to do some PS3 tweaking.
