The demo confirms - Final Fantasy XIII comes out Winter of 2009, at least in Japan. The rest of the world may have to wait for a 2010 release, but the info provides a reassuring thumbs up for us in the meantime.

It's an early 2010 release. If Square wants to make us happy they should already be working on localization. I know there probably not, but I can dream.
I thought they announced a while back it was going to be a world wide release on both the PS3 and the 360 (Except for Japan obviously where it's PS3 only)
It was always japan getting it before the rest of the world. Pretty sure it was said that 360 development doesnt start until after the ps3 version anyway, not sure if that means the USA/EU versions will come on both consoles at the same time or what.
that's what I thought they announced a while back too. but then again we were promised star ocean for ps3, but that didn't happen. still waiting for it to happen.
PS3 was never promised Star Ocean, it was promised Last Remnant, which frankly isn't all that big of a loss anyway
I bet this will come out just before christmas, this will rise the sales additionally.
im not liking the fact that the NA/EU version are being hindered because of the 360 version. Why wouldnt they just release it for the ps3 1st?
just as xX-Dante said. this always happened with ff games, and gamers on newsgroups and forums used to complain about having to wait so long for the game to be released in na and europe. :) so even if this game was a ps3 exclusive, it would still be japan first. imo, i doubt the 360 is going to make much difference to the release date outside of japan.
