The much-awaited Blu-ray copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete hit stores in Japan last week, carrying with it the demo for Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360). According to the early software sales reports, the movie is doing very well, selling over 100,000 copies on its first day.

Sure, it's FFVII-related, it's gonna do well, right? But if you consider that we've already seen the non-complete Advent Children and that there are fewer Blu-ray player owners out there than DVD player owners, Advent Children Complete really brought the bacon home.

This perhaps confirms why Square Enix added the FFXIII demo into the package, giving it a greater pull for Final Fantasy fans. The figures may have that to thank for its success.

» I have to admit

I watched the movie, it was alright but not good enough to spend that kind of money on it. I will probably never watch it again. I REALLY want that friggin' demo, though.

» getting the blu ray

not sure if i should get it on ebay so i can play demo early or just wait like everyone else here but i wanna play the demo already. Blu Ray make a big difference especially with a 120hZ LCD TV.

What do you mean by "spend that kind of money on it"? Its not any/much more expensive than any other blu-ray movie and comes with a demo.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the American release will not include the demo... Am I right Glenn M. ?
