It says at the start that the games is from the team that gave us Kingdom Hearts and Advent Children, and it obviously shows. What is it with that group and obscure quotes that make no sense until you've played through the game?
Anyway, not to spoil people, but the floating swords bit in the video reminds us a lot of the final boss in Final Fantasy XII, and just so you guys don't get spoiled, we're not telling you who the final boss in FFXII is. If you can put two and two together to make four, then you can probably figure that one out on your own.

Only 100 hours to go in FF12 to fight the boss/main character in FF vs 13. Game Trailer looks sick.
.... I just wish game developers would stop BS-ing us with CGI cutscenes. I'd rather see in-game than be promised lobster and getting Pez.
But since I'm a FF-fan(atic) I'll likely be picking this up; the FF-franchise has yet to let me down (FFX-2 and FFXI aside).

FF13 graphics will be a benchmark of every next-gen game[for ps3 and xbox360]...the fact that FF13 is a ps3 exclusive means sony has already secured ALL the rpg fans in the world..[not just japan and america].
i,m lookin forward to jump fiesta...which should come in about a week or so from now...then i,d love to see what our fellow xbox fans would say.
They're not bull*****ting you, the reason they haven't shown this since was because it is CGI and they have always said this is CGI. It's like that Halo commercial.
Anyway, that is an awesome trailer, I loved the way the bullets were stopped by invisible swords. ^^

Id like to say..that CG or not it looks amazing...we can all agree. I did read of one of my friends Jap gaming mags..that S-E promised to release a FF in this Generation that plays in game almost if not like Advent Children....that would be *****ing insane....hell even if they get 60%-100% of advent childrens detail...no game would touch it... Im not a fanboy...
I got a wii , a 360 , ps3 and a DS and currently playing FFXII ,FFIII , Gears and zelda...sooo not trying to be bias..I just think FFXIII is going to be like FFX in the ps2...the benchmark to compare all other rpgs by. I dont think currently there is a better RPG than FFXII id go as far to say...its right up there with X and VII..haha...I love S-E and I love thea stories....

Thats an awesome combination. As long as Sony has Square-Enix's teams working on the main stream of FF for PS3, the PS3 has a chance in this "war"

i cant wait to play it , from the artistic stanpoint this game is going to be insane , characters , backgrounds and back drops. i cant wait to see the HUGE maps and summons FF is known for.

FFX the benchmark to compare all other RPGs by? FFX wasn't even that great, it was good, but it was nothing earthshattering like FFVII or FFVIII. And half of us didn't even play FFX-2 because FFX wasn't that compelling. I haven't played FFXII yet ( I used to be on SEs nuts, that should tell you something), but its seeming like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are gonna be heavy hitters, hell you even have JP people camping out for blue dragon. Not to mention thee are alot better RPGs than FFXII I believe (though I haven't played it). Oblivion, Dragon Quest VIII, Blue Dragon, and more, take your pick.
FFX is garbage. Grow up and play FF4,6,9, or Xenogears!! Enough with this 7,8,10,12 crap! I've played and beaten EVERY final fantasy game ever made, so please, stop. Oblivion is NOT a true RPG. Morrowind was 10x the game oblivion was anyway. Blue Dragon and Dragon Quest VIII

I love S-E and I love Sony, everytime a FF game comes out its pure gold, 13 will be no different.
No disrespect to the xbox but If I wanted to play a FPS (as nice as GoW looks) id rather play it on my PC. Console shooters just feel too weird to me. Sports games are a dime a dozen and are never platform specific. But then you get a few selection of games that set themselves apart, while they may not even make up 5% of the library of the console they set the standards, the devil may crys, the metal gear solids, ratchet and clanks, final fantasy, god of war, tekken, guitar hero, shadow of the collosus, kingdom hearts etc, its these games that made the ps2 the champion it is.
I have no idea if PS3 will reign champion again, but lets look at this rationally. MGS and DMC are going to remain PS3 exclusives, as will FF, the tekkens, I didnt mind killzone for ps2 still woudl have preferred it on PC but I cant deny KZ2 looks utterly amazing. Its these franchise series that will drive ps3 sales not the ps3 itself.
So bring on the killer games and long live the ps3.
