FFXIII to hit global market on 2010 |

We've just started the year, and a lot of us may have been expecting to get a 2009 release for Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Xbox 360).
Well if you're in Japan, you do. For the rest of us, we'll have to wait
until next year, when Square Enix will finally release the latest Final Fantasy into the global market. 2010. Ouch.Square Enix president Yoichi Wada made a statement today, saying that Final Fantasy XIII will be out in Japan this year, but the rest of the world will have to wait for Squeenix's business year after next. This means that the game won't be out until at least April of 2010.
Long wait? Well it's not like we have a lot of other stuff to play with.

Dear GOD! This game better be one bad ass game! Hope it doesn't turn into another long wait Home flop.
was quite obvious to anyone who thought about it properly for a moment. The demo is out in March with FF7: ACC Blu-ray and apparently SE will be selling the demo separately too. I reckon FFXIII will be out just in time for Christmas in Japan. This pretty much confirms that Versus XIII won't be out until mid to late 2011 (in English), possibly early 2012 and Agito XIII cannot be released until Versus is out.
ill just add this to the millions of other comments on the internet that are saddened by this news. its like we have been waiting for this game since...2006 and now its finally 2009 and you tell us 2010. why? is it because its multi-platform?? is there some kind of bug? are they having some trouble finding voice talent or localizing..?? o well..i guess i better study my Japanese hard this year and try to get it imported...:)
good thing i know japanese, why don't they just include english subs and menu texts while they're making the game? i don't need dubs! argh. does that mean i have to import the game just like any other badass ps3 games i.e. yakuza 3 and white knight chronicles?. sigh.
I might have cared if Square-Enix could actually make a good game for consoles. This game will just fall in line with their other mediocre games.
for the SE to dev the FFXIII, i've heard this game from even before the ps3 came out..... do they have to delay it until the ps3/360 had reached maturity in its product life cycle, in which it has the most number of ps3/360 users for them to release it? btw subs games are way better than english localized games... jrpg chars should not sound like an American...
The game is out in Japan soon because it doesn't have to be ready for the 360. Microsoft are right *****s, not only do they bribe their way to steal exclusivity but they make us have to wait until the 360 version is finnished. Well ***** you! This doesn't mean VS will be 2011 as it is not having to be last minute developed for the 360 as it's a ps3 exclusive. However square enix may delay it for some money. Possibly it could come out first though...

I'm so fed up of Square Enix's hollow promises. They can keep this one. I'm out. Final Fantasy Versus XIII being the next to be pushed back would just be rubbing our noses in it.

Please cut and paste where I bashed the PS3. Are you slow or something? I bashed Home. Then I claimed FF13 better be bad ass!!! I have NEVER bashed the PS3. EVER. Care to post a link? Gees, some people are so damn stupid.....
