Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete - Image 1

You didn't think Square Enix would forget its fans who can't speak Japanese did you? It's officially confirmed that the additional scenes included in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be dubbed in English. Which means you can import the Blu-ray release from Japan to grab yourself the FFXIII (PS3, 360) demo earlier than the Western release.

Not that the news is a shocker, but it's just to ease minds who thought Japan will have another neat thing other regions won't have again.

The news comes from the blog of Wally Wingert, the voice of Rufus Shinra, who relates that he was called back to the studio to do some extra lines. Personally I'd rather go with subtitles, so it's still great to know they have English translations for the new scenes.

» Nice

I already have the old DVD version. I may have to pick this up if the price is right when it hits here in the States. I don't know about paying a lot just to get the extra demo.

» i prefer english subs than dubs

english dubs is like watching pokemon.. they still have the subs option with japanese dubs right?

Me too. I hate English dubbed animes and movies. They just don't fit the characters right. At least the Blu-ray will have the options of being able to switch.

» But the FFXIII demo...

is still all japanese isn't it? Looks like I still have to wait for the western release.

» read the article

It clearlly states that it will be DUBBED in english. That means ENGLISH audio.

Subbed is subtitles.

+ its bluray so you pop it in, and press the language button till its english and tada, your done.

The more hardcore crowd will watch it in Jap with english subtitles. I personally think thats wasteful because you spend too much time reading and not enjoying the movie, even if its only 5% of the movie that you miss due to reading.

» Tempting

But if the 70 dollar price tag is true, then I might not be getting it. Its a blu ray movie with a demo of a game. Not sure why they are asking 70 for something that should be 20-30.

» I was clearly talking about the FFXlll DEMO

and not the movie at all.. I don't know why your ranting on about it.

Anyway, if you've bothered to read the related articles you'd know that they had previously mentioned that the Demo is likely all in Japanese as it had been exclusive to Japan. Which is why I ask if it has NOW been translated as it will be coming stateside eventually too. Anyway, I'm assuming it's not so I'll have to wait for a western release.
