I got some bad news for you guys. The much awaited PSN game Fat Princess from Titan Studios will be delayed until later in the summer. The game was suppose to be released later this month but a Sony representative has confirmed that the controversial girl-feeding strategy game will not be released next week.

Mike Kebby, a member of the PlayStation Store Team, posted a reply in the Playstation Blog Europe announcing the delay.

Fat Princess will have a global release date, but I can confirm for you it will not be next week IÂ’m afraid. The game is coming at some point this summer, but there is no confirmed release date at the moment.

At this years E3, Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake was also announced for the PSP but no release date was given. So I guess well have to wait a little bit to get our hands with possibly one of the best PSN titles to date.

» Yes, srsly....

I am excited about this game, but let them take their time to do it right. This may be the first online game even my girl gets into.

» @ kon_e3

no, but you can stuff them with cake so the other team would have a harder time lifting them :)

» great game

I've seen the e3 video of it and not sure who will play it?

It looks like a kids game but its too gorey for my kid to play it. She's only 6 but she likes the look of it.

Still, it looks like a good fun game. I might get it and give it a go when it gets released.

Better take longer and get it right straight away. Saves downloading the game then all the patches before you can even play it.

» it is great

but you can turn gore/blood off for the kids.

» Unique

I know someone who is ANXIOUSLY awaiting this game, and will be bummed by the delay. (Actually, "anxious" is an understatement.) While I, myself, am curious .... I think the real appeal is the medieval knights theme, combined with a cutesy (Nintendo-like) depiction, on top of hard-core gore, with capture-the-flag taken to a new level. --Come to think of it: when you have to do all that to describe the game, ...how can you NOT be somewhat interested? This looks to be very unique.
