It looks like Far Cry 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) is still on track for its release this month. Ubisoft has just let loose a press wire announcing that the game has gone gold.
Far Cry 2 has players in the role of a hired gun trapped in a war-torn African state. To survive, you'll have to play both sides of the conflict and close in on the Jackal, an arms dealer and your primary target, using any means necessary.
Ubisoft's Far Cry 2 is currently scheduled for a North American release on October 21. The game's European release has been set for October 24.
