Fan Faire 2008 announced; demos of The Agency, Free Realms coming

Last year, Sony Online Entertainment's annual Fan Faire event inspired a real life wedding to be held within the digital world of one of its MMOs, EverQuest 2. Think anyone would be able to top that in this year's Fan Faire?

For the 2008 Fan Faire, SOE has announced that the event will once again be held in Las Vegas, at the Las Vegas Hilton. Unlike last year though, Fan Faire 2008 will go on for four solid days, from August 14-17.

This year, SOE will be bringing along game demos for their upcoming titles such as Free Realms and The Agency, two upcoming MMO titles for the PlayStation 3. Here's what else to expect from 2008 Fan Faire:

In-game tournaments
Live, game-themed tournaments and quests
A costume contest
Lots of social activities, including a Kickoff Reception, a Grand Banquet and a VIP Party with live entertainment
Sneak peaks at SOE titles currently in development
The 2nd Annual Community Address from SOE President John Smedley
Developer forums and roundtables
