Word on Japanese developer Acquire's Way of the Samurai hasn't exactly been abundant in recent times, but we've grabbed hold of some scans in the latest issue of the weekly Famitsu that show us how it's coming along. It turns out that the adventure title is scheduled to launch come fall this year.
But that's not all. It was also confirmed in the magazine that a version for the Sony PSP is also being developed. It differs slightly from the PS3's version in terms of features. The PSP's Way of the Samurai will have a two-player battle mode which will run via ad-hoc. Other exclusive content are also on the table, and the handheld release will take place earlier than that of its console brother's.
Way of the Samurai takes players on a trek through feudal Japan. They can choose from three playable characters and then go on a journey as a masterless swordsman. Three clans will then be open for taking you in, and you'll have the freedom to choose which one to serve. Actions of the player in the game will determine which ending unfolds. The scan to the left is the PS3 version's feature page, while the one to the right is for the PSP.

Its been freaking ages since a WOTS game came out but we get a port of the first game, I hope they add new stuff to it.
The japanese PS2 version got that Manga exclusive Manji character, who I heard was awesome to play as. But because it was from manga, it couldnt be in US version.
I wonder if there trying to revive the series again.
I thought the first game was rather too short for my tastes but atleast it had better faces than WOTS2.
WOTS2 had ugly custom faces in it.
But it was longer. I loved WOTS1. I just hope they add new stuff into it cause versus mode was in the PS2 version aswell.
