Famitsu scans and PSM details for Devil May Cry 4 |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360, PC Gaming Tags: Capcom, Nero, playstation 3 updates, PlayStation Magazine
Ó
Take note that information here was gathered from the article published by the PlayStation Magazine (PSM) in its latest issue (which have also been posted on several gaming sites). Some of you may know some of these already but most will come in as a surprise. Before we talk about Devil May Cry 4 in general, let's discuss Nero's listed moves first. They are as follow:
- Charge Shot - Hold square to charge, then release to fire (As well as shooting bullets in rapid succession, you can charge up your gun for a slower, but more powerful shot.)
- Exceed - Pull L2 to charge the EX-gauge (Reving your EX-gauge like a motorcycle handle, you can build up to three levels of extra power for your moves.)
- Streak - While holding R1, press the left stick towards the enemy + triangle (Streak is a powerful forward strike.)
- High Roller - While holding R1, press the left stick away from the enemy + triangle (Air juggle)
- Hell Bound - Face the Grim Grip and press R1+Circle (Think of this as a a grappling hook-like move that you can use to reach far away platforms - but only if there is a globe to catch.)
- Buster - Press circle near an enemy (This attack can be performed after you catch an enemy. Best used at the end of a combo, since it doesn't work well with juggling.)
- Snatch - While facing an enemy, press R1+circle (Used to grab enemies in the air or on the ground)
It was also said that Vergil was still not confirmed to be in the game but quite curiously, Capcom didn't also say anything about removing him. You should also beware of Variel and the Frosts. Variel will use well the destructible environment to hurt your character while Frosts can appear and re-appear, not to mention their ability to attack in group.

I think SONY wasn't too concerned about DMC going multiplat because it has God of War III (first party) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma(third party exclusive), and probably CAPCOM was asking too much for keeping DMC PS3 exclusivity so SONY let it go. Now about "spreading the love", probably next iterations of Lost Planet and Dead Rising will be multiplat, to release the old LP and DR makes no sense because PS3 user base is not big enough yet and CAPCOM already has 2 big titles in production (RE5 and DMC4).
Look now at the PSP, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is a system seller (1million+ copies sold) I see CAPCOM supportive of SONY in the handheld arena, this it is only about business buddy.

By the way, this list only has those games of which ‘actual play footages’ have been released. When you judge a game, you must watch the ‘actual play footage’ to do so. Don’t even watch ‘actual play screenshots (still pictures)’ released by the developers. When the developers release the ‘actual play screenshots’, they set all the graphics settings super-max (highest) then capture the images (in this situation, the game runs at extremely poor frame rate such as 2 frames per second – simply unplayable); therefore, usually, the screenshots which are available online look super-fantastic when the final (retail) version of the game doesn’t even look similar (always, retail version of a console game only has medium-decent graphics quality to maintain smooth and playable frame rate). That’s why the screenshots available at GameSpot, IGN or all other sites are purely garbage (almost fake).
The following 15 games are undisputable.

Bioshock

With that said, I feel that games on that "top 15" list of yours should not be there, Resistance for one as it doesn't surpass any PC games that have been released in the past year or two. And yes, I am aware that this is a PS3 - Xbox360 SUPERLIST. Lost Planet or Armored Core 4, to say the least, should easily be on that top 15 list. But many of these games I am in agreement with you.
Oh yeah, graphically competent gameplay footage doesn't automatically mean it is a good game.
You're a trick to tell people to throw games into the garbage just because they aren't on your amazingly badass list.
Just my undisputed opinion.
