Famitsu scan reveals Scheherazade, newest character for Soul Calibur 4 - Image 1

We've seen a lot of returning characters making an appearance in Namco Bandai's latest iteration to the Soul Calibur series, however it's time once again for something new and improved. The latest scan from this week's Famitsu magazine has revealed a new challenger ready to fight for possession of the Soul Swords.

Going by the name Scheherazade, this exotic-looking swordswoman definitely has the makings of a seasoned female fighter in the series (with skimpy clothing and all). While there wasn't much revealed about her aside from the thin saber-like weapon she possesses, she definitely seems like an interesting character to keep an eye on as the more information on Soul Calibur 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) is revealed.

You may have also noticed a sneak peak at some of the other returning fighters on the opposite page. While we've already covered the return of Kilik and Xianghua, it's interesting to note how the nunchaku-swinging pirate Maxi's new look is working out.

In any case, we'll make sure to keep an eye out for more tidbits from the game as time goes on. Keep coming back to QJ.NET for more information on this upcoming fighting game.

» ugh

Wish it was a scan and not a pic taken by a camera. She actually looks rather conservative in comparison to some of teh outfits that the SC girls sport.

Yes, especially Ivy. I wonder if she's related in anyway to the Persian storyteller queen who shares the same name?
