Fallout 3 cleared for release in Australia - Image 1Good news for all those gamers out in Australia. Via Kotaku, we've picked up word that Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) looks to have been cleared for release in the area.

From the looks of things, this probably indicates that Fallout 3 has been toned down in one aspect or another to suit the the folks at the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC).

What changes were made to allow Fallout 3 to be sold in Australia are have yet to be uncovered, but we'll report on the changes as soon as they become available. In the meantime, let's be happy at the fact that Australian gamers can finally return to the post-apocalyptic hellhole of their dreams.

yeah well...

I am, and I'm getting sick of being screwed over all the time because of our backwards ratings board. The stupid morons won't agree that we need an R18 rating for games (we have one for everything else). They reckon having one would open the flood gates to child violence, war, mayhem, the Apocalypse etc. Even though having one would mean young kids wouldn't be ABLE to get access to more violent games.

your ratings board does suck.
