We really wanted to get away from the typical portrayal of women in games, that theyÂ’re all just kind of tits and ass in a steel bikini. We wanted her to look athletic and fit and strong [enough] that she could do the things that sheÂ’s doing.
We wanted her to be attractive, but we didnÂ’t want her to be a supermodel. We wanted her to be approachable and far more real. It was just kind of depressing that someone thinks it would be better if Faith was a 12-year-old with a boob job. That was kind of what that image looked to me.
Amen, Farrer. Not every woman in gaming has to be a busty Lara Croft. What we have here is a school girl who doesn't even look like she can mount rooftops, even looking like she's the only one who'll get mounted. Besides, the game is in first-person, those who don't like the way she looks won't need to look at her. DICE wanted to get rid of the guns, and they want to get rid of the jugs too. That's a big cut in sex and violence right there.
I have to hand it to the guy who created the picture, though. That's some quality editing.

chubbier face and normal sized breasts... don't get me wrong i actually like little titties... but really they aren't the norm.
if anything the original looks anorexic... which we all know is synonymous with supermodel.

As for the breast/anorexic issue - have you seen professional women runners? they usualy dont have big breasts because breasts are fatty tissue and they base their diet and exercise at become as lean as possible and Faith nailed that look.

....I think Farrer needs to take a chill pill. It's probably a good sign if someone likes the game or concept enough to photoshop the character. And--really--it's not like there's never been a Star Wars fan who's greatly exaggerated the proportions of Princess Leia or Queen Amidala. Videogames are not immune.

I don't believe for a second that a woman would take an average me over a muscular me. And I don't believe a woman for a second when they say, "Size doesn't matter". Any honest woman will tell you that length might not be important, but girth sure as hell is. Looks aren't important, ha ! Given the chance, they'd take Brad Pitt over Gabe Newell any day, no matter how "nice" Gabe may or may not be.
If women aren't concerned about looks (more then men), why do they spend so much time applying paint to their faces ? For us ? Puh-leeze.
As a male, I'm tired of being painted in less of a light than a woman.

I understand where DICE are comming from keeping her "real" and all but I always thought of Faith as in her mid/late 20's....
I think the manipulated Faith looks more "her age".... I don't see how she looks like a 12 year old with a boob job...? Thats just ridiculous..... I admit that the boobs do look a little out of proportion in the manipulated image but the face is really good....

the boobs shouldn't be big. the original one is more believable. the altered one is obviously a boob job state for most asian women. generally, women of asia don't reach such proportion.
to you guys who believe that big boobs is normal, its because a.) you're american b.) you only see asian women in porn and c.) both
for the one who commented about the altered Faith being a 12 year old with a boob job. hehehe... you may be right in saying the 12 year old part. but only for an american point of view. you see, asians don't age quickly. don't grow wrinkles fast and usually have dark skin as opposed to caucasoids whose skin is as fair as a shaven pig. i work in a government office now and i graduated in college nearly four years ago but an american guy thought i was a college freshman. for the altered Faith's face to look like that young is just normal for her to have an age of between 15 to 20. no offense but the asian's usually-petite structure helps in making them look young as opposed to caucasoid women whom some look like oversized cows and has given birth to five children before they even reach their 20th birthday.

And if the game don't sell on the first priority, it means it will die sooner or later. It just needs touchup and makeover. Producers are in fact encouraged to accept talents where another is capable of and buys their story to incorporate into own designs. Not discriminate and stubborn adhere to own perspective. That shall be the way to improve and progress. Think about it. "Why does games dies?". Reasons: Absurd graphics, Worst gameplay, Worst sound effects that affects the sale of the product. Please do not compromise and adhere to own thinking when majority votes for the best. Most buys news and no one or few bothers with monotonous gestures.
Pardon me for being Marvel Peter Parker's Boss in Spiderman. But I make the story that it seems most may lives to the story.
