Here's some official word about Sony's virtual pet, EyePet. It's coming out on November 17, 2009, and it'll be available for US$ 39.99.

Here's the thing. This pet requires the PlayStation Eye. Not to worry, though. If you don't have the Eye, you can get the bundle that they'll also be coming out with, worth US$ 59.99, carrying both the Pet and the Eye.

The sigel cards are awesome. I can imagine playing a game that uses them where each card represents a sort of creature, and you have to move them and attack. Think warhammer where the pieces are animated.

» Isn't there a game like that already?

sorry, haven't played Warhammer before, so not really sure how you meant it should be done, but there is a game where each card is a monster, and you can play against a friend in this card game, while it is all animated on the TV :)

It's been out for quite some time! lol It's quite good too imo, of course it's a bit niche so not for everyone.

wow, 40 dollars is pretty much if you ask me for a virtual pet....

I mean, it's kind of a minigame, and not a full Blu-Ray title....

Seems fair enough though any word on the UK price? I've already got the Eye so can go with the solus pack (is that the right word?)

Anyone who abuses their monkey-dog....or whatever the hell this thing is supposed to be...get's all their information forwarded to the humaine society, who then follows up with an investigation.

Well it's not the price of a full game.....but $29 would have been nice.

Either way I don't care, I am not buying it. You need a family or GF who is into this type of thing.

Also it doesn't look like it would be very enjoyable unless you have a 40 inch or bigger TV with alot of carpeted floor space infront of your entertainment unit.

» brilliant

What is it with you people and wanting to abuse and neglect a piece of computer code ?

Just go beat your head into a wall or something....

He is talking about a strategy game, kind of along the lines of dungeons and dragons (with books, rules, and played in real life) but it focuses more on warfare than roleplaying a character.

Also, yes it would be cool. It would be abit weird having to look at the TV and the play mat all the time though.

oops I meant "tamagotchi". Sorry if I pissed off any hardcore fans for spelling it incorrectly. If people cant even joke about it, I dont know how you would react to a typo.
