Along with the announcement of Eye of Judgment's release, Sony has announced that the EyeCreate software for the PlayStation Eye is now available for download on the PlayStation Network. EyeCreate is a video capturing and editing application made exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Eye. EyeCreate allows PlayStation Eye owners to save photos, video and audio clips to their PS3's hard drive. It also lets users add a few visual effects to their images and features different capture modes such as time-lapse, slow motion, and stop motion.
The EyeCreate application is also available as bundled software with the standalone PlayStation Eye which retails for US$ 39.99.

well, if this worked with some ps3 linux distros as a webcam then I will pick it up for sure. Should be interesting to find out if it is possible sooner or later.
I think that this will have a great usage for Home too whenever that's supposed to come out :)
will this work with the old eye toy?
