Ex-SCEE Boss Joins Guitar Hero Pub

Chris DeeringFormer SCEE CEO Chris Deering has been appointed by RedOctane, the publisher of the famous Guitar Hero to be part of its board of directors. He directed the launch of both the Playstation and the Playstation 2. He became a president of Sony Europe last 2004 and recently joined Codemasters as a non-executive chairman and he also chairs the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival

Quoting Deering, "RedOctane has talented technical visionaries who have already proven in North America with Guitar Hero that they can fashion everyday music lovers into great musicians,". Deering also stated that he really looks forward on helping RedOctane to attain a high frontier in interactive high tech entertainment. According to Kelly Summer the CEO of RedOctane that Chris has a special passion for Music thus he will become an asset to their instrument-based games.
