Naughty Dog's Evan Wells on Uncharted's success and future - Image 1In an interview of That Video Game Blog with Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog, the success of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune's and future plans were the topics of conversation.

Metacritic gave Uncharted: Drake's Fortune an average score of 89 out of 100. Asked what they feel about this, Wells said:

We are very pleased with the critical response that we have received. Particularly that the scores have been so consistent. There really hasnÂ’t been a single reviewer who hasnÂ’t enjoyed the game and the vast majority of the scores have been 9Â’s or above.

Given the success that the game has established, a sequel should be in the making, no doubt. As for the plans of the company to develop a game following Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Wells said, "WeÂ’ve also only just started brainstorming on ideas for our next project. Nothing has been solidified yet."

Along with their ideas on developing sequels that will follow, upgrades such as downloadable content were also discussed. With the coming of the PlayStation Home in the near future, Wells disclosed that, "We arenÂ’t planning any downloadable content for Uncharted, but we are planning to take advantage of whatever kind of integration into Home thatÂ’s possible."

There you have it. Evan's Wells' thoughts on the success of their game and what we could expect from their company in the future. If you want to read the complete interview, you can head on over to the source link below.

We'll be keeping you posted for more information on the game as they come.

I really enjoyed Uncharted. If the next one could be a little longer and tone down the mutants, I'll be handing over my cash... Actually, it'd be nice to take on enemies who use spears and swords for a bit of variety...

Actually liked the mutants! I got bored of the firefights with all those retarded 'hench-men' and loved some of the "OMG CREATURES!" moments. IT really freshened up the experience for me. While I don't want to be going to space to fight aliens, I would really like some kind of dark force or creatures of sort to contend with.

I also would of loved to have a water jet (or w/e it's called) level where I didnt have to slow down and shoot sh1t! I just wanted a full out, full throttle race to my distination, the hell with dealing with shooting guys/barrels.

Lastly, I think the exploration part could be more blown out and little more "OMG Can I make it?" moments as opposed to "tap tap tap yeah I just crossed a massive castle wall in no time" kinda feel.

Also @ someone_PR, I would of loved a co-op mode! It wouldn't of worked too well with the story as Nate goes off on his own a lot, but It would of been fun to take down baddies with a friend. Heck, multiplayer would of been hella kewl too with vehicle's and the unique shooting style would of made good fun.

I can't wait to see what they come up with for part 2. I could hardly put down the first without wanting to play it soon again. All around, great game!
