EA launching Europe's PS3 Orange box this December - Image 1It looks like Europe's PlayStation 3 owners will be getting their cake before the year's out. Electronic Arts, the UK distributor for The Orange Box, has just sent word that they will be releasing the pack into retail by December 14 - just two days after the U.S.' copy launches.

This announcement dispels previous rumors that Europe's PS3 port was going to be delayed to 2008. As a recap Valve Corporation's Orange Box game collection (Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal) launched for the Xbox 360 and PC last October 10 in the U.S.

Europe and the UK's launch followed on October 18 and 19, respectively. Keep alert in case related updates are released.

dude... calling portal a mere First person shooter is like calling a nuclear warhead a mere weapon... whilst in basic terms you are technically correct the fundamental differences are miles apart! portal is quite possibly one of the most technically impressive titles I've seen in a LONG time... I'm particularly glad it'll be launching before christmas!
