PS3 - Image 1Sony's PS3 launch for Europe seems in order - launch titles, open arms, marketing campaigns... One item on the checklist still remains, it seems. This is for everyone who asked about pre-orders: SPOnG reports that retailers haven't received word on their launch allocations yet - although that might change sometime in the next couple of weeks after a meet with Sony.

That's why preorders aren't available yet, SPOnG noted. It is understandable, after all, after what happened with the Wii preorders. According to SPOnG's talk with them, some are anxious to avoid a repeat of having to cancel preorders, as what happened with the Wii at launch.

Well, perhaps in the next couple of weeks, some details will surface after Sony and retailers talk. Then the online and on-site reservation madness can begin.
