ESRB ratings reveal Lost Planet expansion, Assault Heroes 2 |
Ó

The Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB for short) gives us yet another peek into the future by inadvertently revealing more unannounced titles - and this time, it's about the frozen-future epic Lost Planet: Extreme Condition's (Sony PS3, PC, Microsoft Xbox 360) very first expansion, as well as the follow-up to Vivendi's Assault Heroes. A very nice, very shooty-flavored one-two combo, wouldn't you say?
For the uninitiated, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is Capcom's third-person shooter that's a bit like Fallout on ice, except with more mechs (and definitely more ice). Players put themselves in the persona of Wayne, an amnesiac trying to survive in the frozen vastness of E.D.N. III. We're not sure just where the new expansion - namely Lost Planet: Colonies - figure into the storyline, but here's hoping it ties up the rather mysterious ending.
Assault Heroes, on the other hand, is an arcade-style top-down shooter by Wanako Studios, playable on either the PC or the Xbox 360 (through XBLA download, of course). Players are essentially encouraged to wreak havoc on wheels.
With three devastating weapons and unlimited ammo, it's pretty much a joyride of epic proportions - and we can't help but be excited at the news of a sequel. Here's hoping for more vehicles, more levels and more weapons.
As much as we'd like to reveal more about the games, we can't, as the only information available is the confirmation that they do exist. We'll be sure to update you when we catch wind of more news, however, so stay tuned.

extra levels for a pretty lame single player experience. Not on my 2buy list. Wouldn't mind seeing Capcom doing somethin a little better with their time.
