Epic Games open to Unreal Tournament 3 delay on PC, PS3 |

In a recent post at the Epic Games Forums, company President Mark Rein softened his stance somewhat regarding Unreal Tournament 3's November release for the Sony PlayStation 3 and the PC. Midway and Epic now seem more open to a later launch.
Rein explained that Epic Games is still unsure of when exactly the development for Unreal Tournament 3 will be finished. "All we've said is that we're hoping for a November release, but as you know we value getting it right over getting it right now, so there's no guarantee of that," he says.
It can be recalled that a November debut was imminent for the PS3 and the PC until recently. Recent reports strongly suggested a November release, leaving fans with no reason not to expect the launch. Unreal Tournament 3 carries the next-generation torch of a series that has been known to deliver excellent FPS action as well as awe-inspiring graphics. There's also a version coming out for the Microsoft Xbox 360 in early 2008.

There has been too many delays for PS3 games, if this game doesnt come out in November or early December then 2008 really will be the PS3's best year (software-wise).
bill is hoping to kill ps3 by bribing all the companys to delay good games soo the ps3 wont sell in the holidays and it will die, very immuature billy
i agree about the too-many-delays, however you have to remember that development on the 360 is ahead of the PS3 by a full year. i do believe the ps3 has some good times ahead of it, as far as game-wise.
as a ps3 owner however, i'm tired of the PSN lagging several years behind what the 360 (and original xbox) online offers. i mean, sure, i won't buy the movies or tv episodes they offer, but at least they're there. (which may or may not be a strategic point for sony...360 owners pay for what they dont want to pay for, while sony users play online for free, without stuff they wont pay for.)
It will be released same time as the XBOX 360's version. PS3 has the shiiitest games line up ever. It's games suck. I guess most ps3 owners will be buying haze. Unreal tournament ang MGS4 will be released in XBOX 360 soon and most ps2 owners will be really pissssed!

Pray tell how Epic delaying a game is the fault of Sony though? Don't tell me the console is to hard to program for either. Why don't you check out the history of other game consoles such as the Atari 2600. Most new consoles worth owning are considered hard to program for at first. That is what happens with new "cutting edge" technology.

you dumbasses it's being delayed on the PC as well. that means theres problems on both fronts. and in all honesty console gamers should just feel lucky enough to actually be getting this game. Keep in mind that it was a PC exclusive up until only this year.
And us PC gamers have been waiting for this since 2005. I've had it fully paid off at gamestop since it was called UT2k5 so stop your *****ing because you have to wait a bit longer the ONLY people that have any right to be upset over another delay is the PC gamers cause we've been waiting a lot longer.

UNTIL the name changed to Unreal Tournament 3 it was a PC exclusive only. up until early 2007. It is possible that work was being done (on the 360, NOT PS3 since the dev kits weren't out yet) on the console versions but either way it was only Announced for the 360 and PS3 when the name was changed from UT2k7 to UT3.
So again if you have proof otherwise i'd love to see it but i know you don't cuase your just a stupid PS3 fanboy.

Everyone knows that this game is coming out on PS3 first (even conformined) then 360 sometime next year. Well UT3 was already said to be released on 360 but MGS4, HA. Now, people are liked MGS3 will come to 360 to, but when it is released on PS3 people will be like ''oh man MGS4 sux, I've always hate series and what not" people should just be satisfied which systems get great games.
