Enterbrain: FFXIII wiill further boost PS3 Japan sales |
Ó
Enterbrain (Famitsu owner) President Hirokazu Hamamura is making a bold - but not entirely improbable - forecast that Final Fantasy XIII could move another half a million PS3s in Japan. This claim was made at today's Foreign Correspondent's Club of Japan.
According to Hamamura, the PS3-FFXIII bundle is sure to pump up the sales numbers of Sony's consoles further, on top of the 150,000 plus units sold last week. Apart from that, there's also the upcoming Gundam game that's sure to be a hit as well with Japanese PS3 owners.
December 17th is definitely the date to look out for, it being the recently-confirmed launch date of FFXIII for Japan. We'll see.

It seems a bit high but wouldn't be surprised if it reached or goes past 500k.
