Enslaved: Odyssey to the West release date announced, contest and new video released

A date's been officially set by Namco Bandai for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Not only did they send out a press release announcing the release of Ninja Theory's latest labor of love, they also sent out details on their contest as well as a new trailer.

First, on the release date. Looks like we're only gonna have to wait a couple of weeks more cos Enslaved has been pegged for an October 5th release date for the PS3. Now for any of your queries related to the game, the team has set up a special PSN ID specifically to answer all of them. You can send your messages to "EnslavedOTTW" and you're good to go. You might want to sound smart while at it too cos the best questions and answer will be compiled and posted on a follow-up blog entry.

Now, for that contest. It's actually related to the Q&A portion mentioned above. Once you send out your question, even if it does not get picked, you are automatically entered into their contest where you can win one of their limited edition statues. There's only some 200 of them to be given out so you better get going for those questions if you want one of them.

Winners (through their questions) will be picked at random, with an official announcement to be made in two weeks. This is also the same time when they will answer your questions. Meanwhile, ten other lucky folks will receive redemption codes for ALL of their pre-order downloadable content, which includes alternate costumes for Monkey and Trip. Special bonuses also await such as unlimited ammo. Do note though that while the contest is open to everyone in North America, Quebec is excluded from joining.

Finally, here's the latest video for Ninja Theory and Namco Bandai's Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Demo arrives next week, September 21st, via the PS Store.
