Electronic Arts: Mercenaries 2 delayed for all platforms |

The last time we heard about Pandemic Studios' Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3), we learned that the developers are planning to go underwater for the sequel that should make the franchise bigger than ever. However, we guess we shouldn't be talking about that yet as the game's release date will be delayed. One representative from publisher Electronic Arts spoke with online site Total Video Games and confirmed that Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will indeed not be making its 2007 release date.
No explanation was provided but the spokesperson said, "We can confirm it will be next year". In the past, we've already reported on several high profile video game titles that are purposely delayed because the holiday season is already congested with releases.
We hope the same thing was what Pandemic Studios had in mind and not some problems encountered during the development stage. Mercenaries 2: World in Flames takes players in the heart of Venezuela which has been invaded after a tyrant interfered with the country's oil supply.

jesuz...not another delayed game....why do we have to have crap games released instead?
Come on just admit it Ea, it's the ps3 fault once again. that is the reason why is being delayed, another great title set for 08 release oh well.
There are afraid of HALO 3, don't blame them.
I say ***** EA, I'm already boycotting them anyway. I'm sick of them pumping out rehashed *****!
I was really looking forward to this game,even more so than Gta4 cuz i wanna have fun blowing stuff up,and Gta4 went all realistic and stuff. But I hope ea isn't planning on releasing this game at the same time as Gta4 cuz that'd be a huge mistake, mercenaries will be completely overshadowed by gta4.
dammit now all i have is HALF LIFE 2 orange box...to look forward to on my ps3
This game was originally only going to be for PS3, so I'm thinking they'd be further along on the PS3 version. But thanks for assuming that the PS3 is the cause of all problems (conflicts, natural disasters, etc) like most of the other microsoft fanboys.
