i think you pre order it and you get to keep the box and inside it is the code.
SCEA has been lying 2 us before remember,there is no possibility of vibration on the PS3 because it will mess up the sixaxis. and now we have the dualshock 3

Phil Harrison said PS3 will always have BC because it was necessary to continue the tradition of PS, as the PS2 was fully BC with PS1.
As soon as Phil left Sony, they cut BC from the consoles. I don't know who's calling the shots, but they need to be fired asap.
