Eidos, Strawdog Studios bringing Geon to PSN |
Ó
Strawdog Studios has sent out word that their XBLA title Geon is also coming to the PlayStation Network as a downloadable game. The game is set to be published by Eidos.
In case you haven't given the Xbox 360 version a try yet, Geon is a fast-paced arcade game where players take control of an emotionally-themed cube and direct it around a semi-transparent grid. The aim of the game is to collect pellets and deposit them in opponents' goals to score points.
A release date has yet to be announced, but here's a quick look at what Geon's PS3 version is bringing to the table:
- 1080p visuals
- Redesigned single player maps
- Introduction of a new League mode
- Players have attack and shield as standard (instead of only via a power-up) allowing for greater interaction with (thumping the hell out of) your opponent
- New goal scoring system make it essential to stop your opponent scoring
- Redesigned Power-ups with the introduction of new ones such as Bliss' ghost cubes (which collect pellets for you) and Rage's extra attack
- 12 new PSN trophies
- Dramatically improved AI to handle the new game-play
