i agree i have not seen any upcoming 360 games besides GTA 4 wich will be on ps3 that would make me wanna get one and the fact they are realasing a new system that still doesnt have a built in HD-DVD player is completly pointless to the upgrade and i think once The ps3 Realeses Home and more games it will help bring in more sales for the ps3

I agree too but one question i have is, wat "BIG GAME" is Eidos coming up wit, I cant think of 1 big franchise Eidos has made. ANyways im hopin that this time next year, Eidos "BIG GAME" is in fact BIG

well... seeing as how eidos is owned by sony, i would imagine they would make ps3 games. pretty much all they're saying is that 6 months in they haven't sold enough consoles to warrant a big release so they're waiting. thats no fun.

It will definetly come to dominate the market, if not during this gen, then since it's a 10 year console, when the next Nintendo and Microsoft consoles are launched. But it's not going to do it in one years time.



It's already doing worst.

It's already a walk-in and pick up console, even here in Europe where it's only been out a few week, it was readily available on launch day. Everyone that wants it has it. And it's obviously not carried over the brand image as well as the PS2 did, so it has to create it's own again.

But most of all, it's too expensive.



Ofcourse they can all be sorted out by a lower price. The problem with that is, Sony are already losing money on each PS3. The PS3's already made a huge dent in it's pocket so it can't afford to just increase the loss leader approach. The parts aren't going to get that much cheaper anytime soon that it will be able to compete with the 360 on a price level either. Definetly not within a year.



When the PS3's price is lowered to a point where it can compete with the 360, then it's down to what games each system has. If the 360 has everything, the PS3 won't dominate, if the PS3 has everything, then it might dominate.



Ofcourse that doesn't bring the Wii into it at all. I know it's hated by a large number of people on the PS3 section, but it's undoubtedly a huge success, but it's still a bit unpredictable how it's going to turn out, so if the PS3 beats the 360, it all depends on whether the majority care enough about graphics stepping up to HD, and whether any games have come out that fully utilize the Wiimote, because if they do, the Wii is going to launch straight to number one and nothing's going to be able to move it.



So really it's too soon to doom any console. Same for handing it the gold, no-one can tell how things are going to go this gen. Last gen, it was simple, one newcomer no-one knew what to think about, one successor to a console which hugely expanded the market, and one console held by a brand which inexplicably had a kiddy image.



Things have changed this gen. It's not just a matter of moving onto the next best format and increasing the console's power.

That would be stupid for Sony to wait for all the 360 games to come out, because then everyone would think"Oh the ps3 has no good games out, ima go get a 360 and get halo 3 and gears of war 2 and bioshock, and all those games" Sony needs to bash as hard as they can when the 360s powerhouses are let loose on the market. But, as usual, Sony is dumb.

Yeah Eidos said that they weren't making games till 2008 because the install base is too low. At first glance it seems that Eidos doesn't want to make games for PS3 because they think its a failure but thats not true. They are just waiting until it becomes more established before they put out some games. They know that it takes awhile for a console to mature. The 360 is doing great but was also horrible during its first year. No one remembers this because the 360 was the only next gen console out so it was acceptable. Now that the 360, Wii and PS3 are out, people want the system with the better lineup. Its going to take Sony a year or two to build up a nice library of games.

And all this advertising you guys are doing.

You all cheer this news like you believe its going to happen ??.



Two months ago a company far bigger than this One was saying the PS3 will fail.



The fact that the Wii is outselling the PS3 by around 500 to 1 may come into the equation somewhere here eh.



In reality if the Wii keeps selling as it is now it will be the winner, the 360 sells nice and steady and MS can keep up with supply and demand, whereas Nintendo cant yet do that.

The PS3 is not selling anywhere near enough the compete with the other Two systems and saying that some game or the other is going to change that is wrong as we all know that the other systems have some huge releases coming, the 360s original game MASS EFFECT looks like its going to be huge but I doubt this will sell more consoles just like MGS4 or Halo 3 will proberly not either.

If the latest April figures in Japan are anything to go by the PS3 is sinking in Japan.

The PlayStation 3 saw sales fall from 16,889 units to 14,520 this week....

lol....sure thatll happen if everyone gets a huge ass raise at their job in the next year....or sony cuts the price in half. Long live 360 and Wii. Im not Sony hater, but come on, 2 systems for the price of one. No choice there.
