Ed Boon: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will have toned-down fatalities |
Ó

You've heard the rumors: "No fatalities in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe". Ed Boon, the Mortal Kombat series' co-creator, says that's not true.
"There was never any statement on our part that fatalities will be gone or that finishing moves will be gone," said Boon in an interview with GameTap. Boon did add, however, that the level of violence will be toned down.
Boon went on to say that while finishers involving, say, pulling people's heads off complete with spine attached will most likely not be in the game, Midway intends to push the envelope of a T-rated game without crossing over to an M rating.

Fatalities were my favorite part if they were toned down it would prolly just diminish the whole point of a fatality which in my eyes is strait ruthlessness
boooooo
Limited fatalities is not going to make this game stronger, and from the recent news, midway needs this game to succeed....
Oh how things have changed...Mortal Kombat is known for it's fatalities and blood, but now, it may be becoming just a plain fighting game.
Would be nice if Rareware's Killer Instinct got a new game to save the day (had "clean" fatalities), it's a great rated T fighter, and could also double up as a model to Midway.
Ah well, looks like we'll all have to see what will happen to Mortal Kombat when this game is released.
IMO Ever Since MK2 this game is been a Downward Spiral the MK Franchise Sold out to Movie Makers ect and the watered down the original story. WHO THE HELL KILLS THE MAIN GUY (Midway does). Lu Kang (The Bruce lee of the game) Was killed then brought back as a damn zombie .. Yea thats Brilliant Kung Fu Zombies. Now they want to make the Gore Infested Brilliance Out of the game so Kids can buy the game? Hell the Only Reason i played anything passed two was the Fatalitys. Now they are 4 button Jokes that anyone can pull off. In two Does anyone remember the ST Fatality where he turns into goro and kills them? That was epicly hard to pull off and it paid off playing hours to figure it out. Midways Wonders why its slowly Dieing, Its killing off its Best Franchise. To Succeed well Remake Some of the older stuff and try to fix what they have ripped apart.
Dude this is so F**ken lame!!!
