Echochrome Video Game: video trailer for the PSP and PS3 - Image 1

Ok, so Echochrome's a bit sparse on the graphics. And colors. But I swear by the Buster Sword that this game's looking to occupy a lot hours for a lot of gamers. From what we've seen of trailers and previews, the game's looking pretty good.

If you're not familiar with the gameplay yet, or if you're never heard of Echochrome before, here's a brief summation. On screen, a character walks around in what looks to be an impossible path. No, you don't control the character, what you do is move the camera.

Move the camera? What kind of gameplay is that? A rather challenging one, apparently. You see, in this game, what you see is what you get. Literally. If the path looks like it's connected, then it is. In other words, you have to locate the exact camera angle where the character's path connects. Or at least, looks connected.

The game has some other mind-bending rules you can check out by following this link. Try not to wrap your mind around it too much though. It's supposed to be a fun game (albeit one that can make you go crazy).

Echocrome is set to be released in Japan this month for the PSP and on the PlayStation Network for the Playstation 3. For now, here's a trailer you can wrap your head around. It's short and sweet, but it's worth the 15 seconds:
