There's been a lot of speculation among Sony PlayStation 3 fans that Konami's highly-anticipated title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be delayed contrary to the trailer's claim that it'll ship in September of 2007. Retailer EBGames has sent out an email to its subscribers announcing that the game launches on March 1, 2008.The Konami team developing the MGS series led by the legendary Hideo Kojima has developed a reputation based on a perfectionist rhetoric through the years, and fans have learned to respect the style. This is a studio that's not afraid to sacrifice time for the sake of quality and you can't argue with the results as the franchise is among the very best in the business.
If you haven't heard yet, MGS4 stars Solid Snake again in his advanced age. The story follows a saga that sees our hero embark on a quest to rid the world of dangerous Metal Gear weapons, pitting him against Liquid Ocelot and his new-found war machine. The game also looks to shed more light on the mysterious Patriot organization that has been controlling America from the shadows. Thanks to Ssnake for the tip.

this might be ok if it has rumble, by than as promised. e3 should give us the full correct announcement. I don't trust eb or gamestop = no shopping from there. and there not going to put on xbox because the the data disc will be 3 or 4 disc. halo suuuuuuu***k alll the way. duke nukem and doom should kick halo ass for coming.i won't be getting an ps3 until it start to sunshine later this year a bunch of other good solid games.
all the PS3 keeps getting pushed back.oh well PS3 is still better then 360

Yeah. PS3 came out 6 months ago, and it feels like it was about 2. The time will go by fast, and regardless I don't care how long this game takes as long as they do what they always have. This game will be groundbreaking. I'm hoping it will have the impact FF7 did on PS1 in comparison.
in some ways, im glad the ps3 launched in late 06 than late 05 because there wouldnt be that many games for ps3 if it did(like really really awesome ones). for example, the 360 right now has one ultimate uber game(GoW), and is going to get a lot more this year and the ps3 will also be getting uber uber games but within a shorter time period within launch. meanwhile the wii sits with a bunch of mini games(that are fun)
Could this mean this game could go multiplatform like DMC4.
But hey, it'll most definately be a gem, no?

Too bad this game won't look anything like the "real-time trailer" they showed. Why don't you idots just play computer games if you're all about the graphics. Consoles graphics will never outperform the fastest computers with the fastest video cards because games are designed on......you guessed it.....COMPUTERS...not consoles.
ffs, this is so bulls**t! when are the games going to start coming in for the ps3! i hate to say this but somtimes i wish i had a 360 over a ps3, it's that bad. my ps3 is just sitting here, lucky i have a gaming pc to keep me ocupied!
I also got the PS3 and a newly built PC. I am chilling with Heros of Might and Magic 5 for now. I have no clue why RE5, Tekken, MGS, FF13 are taking forever? They better not blow their budget and have to sellout, but some did. Most 360 games are on the PC though.

No rumble ! of course rumble matters, when hiding etc and something moves around the corner and you feel it etc, this game will be average if they dont include rumble.
I was holding out getting a PS3 for this game but now Im not going to bother the games are just delay after delay, Im spending the money on updating my PC instead, I may even get a Wii to.
I thought that MGS4 will be released this fall,man all the best games we allways need to wait,next March is to fu****g long 4 me I cant wait.(Yes I know that there`s a lot of work to make game perfect...)
I bought a PS3 because of that game,and because of RE5,SH5(which are too so far of)
Whell I hope that at least DMC4 wont be delayed,and that will be released like it said this november or please God/Devil earlyer!!!

PS3 oblivion has better graphics than any current high end PC... period
modding is not in question for consoles, oh and bty unless your rig is uber powerfull etc etc you can really only play WoW... and that my friend is gay

Yeah PS3 Oblivion has some great graphics, but WoW unless your comp is uber powerful.... i dont think so.
My current comp is pretty much standard, except for a graphics card upgrade and it can play nearly all the games out there.
hey guess what, game consoles might be based on computers, but guess what! a console is a computer just under control and locked down. but i guess you cant call a ps3 a console anymore, just a really good computer for less. you can do anything you can do with a computer with a ps3 and linux
I don't disagre with you on the idea of consoles being computers, it's just that people expect next-gen consoles to bring graphical breakthroughs that nobody has ever seen before yet that will never happen because of the fact that the games are designed on computers. Besides you can upgrade your computer every year, console....not so much. All I'm saying is do not expect Metal Gear Solid to be such a heavy punch in the graphics department, nor Halo 3 because graphics are getting to the point where they are reaching plateaus with only minor upgrades. Games are mostly about gameplay these days, not awe inspiring graphics.
