EA's Fight Night Round 4 trailer was right - Pacquiao knocked Hatton out

With the IBO Light-Welterweight title fight coming to a spectacular close, Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao emerges with another shiny new belt to add to his collection. It looks like EA Sports called the outcome right, with their Fight Night Round 4 (Xbox 360, PS3) trailer showing a Manny Pacquiao victory by way of knockout.

Hatton goes down - Image 1

The trailer wasn't 100% accurate of course. The match didn't last 11 rounds, and the Philippine pride didn't hit the canvas. That's understandable though, would've been a bad idea at the time for EA Sports to make a lopsided trailer. After all, few people expected the Hitman, known for his steel jaw among other things, to go down that soon.

Although the trailer was by no means a "prediction" on EA's part, they still went for a Pacquiao victory at the end, and as it turns out, they were right. Your thoughts?

Maybe you should've watched the undercard fights before it. You didn't just pay for the Main Event, you also paid for the 4 fights that took place before it, which all together is the "whole" PPV. So if you are complaining about your money being wasted, that's your fault for not taking advantage of what you paid for. Seriously, if you are going to pay $50 for any PPV, are you just going to skip the first 3-4 hrs, just so you can watch the last half hour or hour (build up to fight, anthem, entrance, fight, post fight interview).

Glenn M. must be a fan of Pacquiao. This article has nothing to do with gaming and just telling that PacMan beat the crap out of Hatton.

Anyways the fight was way too short. Hatton lost before I even got a buzz. S*** I'm lucky it was my friends house and I didn't have to pay to see it or else I'd be as mad as haru3173.

» As seen in Rocky Balboa... :D

Actually, I think it is quite gaming-related in many ways. Most interestingly in the way the match outcome was more or less "predicted" in the console trailer in a way particularly reminding of how a certain match outcome was computer-simulated in the recent Rocky Balboa movie.

And with more sport games featuring accurate updated data on actual leagues I can see such kinds of simulated predictions being run a lot more often.

Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao, that is why he signed a fight with Marquez a day before the Pacquiao Hatton fight. Anyways, I heard Shane Mosley wanted Pacquiao next.

» Fake

It's obvious that EA's software can predict a boxing match.
