If you're one of the many long-time RTS fans who have come to venerate the Command & Conquer series and you like the FPS genre just as much, EA's upcoming offering Tiberium (PS3,PC, Xbox 360) should appeal to you. It's a tactical FPS spin-off of the popular strategy series, and it's grounded strongly on a plot that happens 11 years after the Third Tiberium War.

The first trailer has just been released, and as expected, it looks great. Licensing Crytek's CryENGINE2 really seems to be paying off for the team over at EA Los Angeles judging by these visuals.

What you'll see when you play the video below is a cinematic premise of the story you'll unfold in Tiberium. Mankind is fighting to stay alive after centuries of conflict within its fold and with alien species, and the only hope is survival is to continue fighting. It looks like we've got another hot prospect from the devs who brought us the Medal of Honor series and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.
