EA official site listed Left 4 Dead 2 also for PS3, removed

Here's another one from EA. Reportedly, the Electronic Arts official site pegged Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) as also making its way to the PS3 in 2009. In fact, it even had a picture of its placeholder boxart.

We all know how much Valve adores the PS3, right? (Yes, that's sarcasm right there, in case you don't recognize it). So why was it there in the first place? Some hopeful staff probably put it in there, wishing that their boss would finally bring it to the PS3, despite them saying it's a humongous piece of "obscure architectural decisions."

The PS3 tag has been removed since then. You think their prepping up a PS3 port of the comedic zombie action game? That won't be all too bad, I say, but I'd have to call this one a flub.

I think you have the title wrong. It should read "also for PS3" not PC.

i really hope the ps3 gets this. cause we've been wanting the first one soo badly. maybe someone said something to a boss but w/e im just glad we might get it.

and this is the only decent game other than dead rising which touches on the zombie suvject

the head of Valve needs to stop being such a stuck up little fanboy. you make the game for the ps3 and it'll just expand the user base, selling more copies of the game, thus making them (Valve) more money.

idiots... they're too busy being stupid little fanboys to realize that. its funny they're the ONLY dev out there saying the ps3 is a waste. every other dev is doing fine. just shows that valve does NOT care for the community, as much as they say they do. if they did, we would have gotten a ps3 port of l4d.

Don' worry, you won't miss out too much. I palyed the first one on PC never understood the hype around it. It's cool and it's fun, especially with friends, but it's not as big as fanboys say it.

...and paying 60 bucks for an upgrade is a waste anyway.

It'd be cool if the PS3 got this, but if not, I could just play it on my PC, which I wont, because this is just an expansion pack.

I mean, I played the first one and completed all the chapters except for the Airport, and it's fun at first (with actual friends), but it quickly gets boring. No challenge at all, even on Expert. You run through an area, kill a few zombies, a hoard comes out of nowhere, chuck a pipe bomb or something, and proceed to the next area. It just gets lame after a short while.

Also, this looks like an honest mistake on EA's part.

..when you say that it shows that Valve does "NOT care for the community": you're talking about the same Valve that created STEAM? ---The one that (at least initially) required you to send your box, receipt, + disc back to Valve and await a new replacement if for some reason your PC hard drive crashed and you needed to install it on a new drive? (This actually happened to a close friend of mine, and he swore-off Half-Life 2 and Valve's games thereafter, after essentially pouring his $60 into a hole. Because, he wasn't about jump those hurdles after paying for the game.) Valve is about money; don't let them fool you. Yes, Half-Life and the Orange Box collection are pretty great, addictive adventures. But, I've played the 360 demo for Left For Dead, and was thoroughly unimpressed.
