PR people really have a way with words. Take this Electronic Arts rep who commented on the whole "Mass Effect for PS3" hoopla for example. Here's what he told videogaming247:

The rumour regarding Mass Effect being developed for PS3 is inaccurate. Hope that helps.

Now, he (or she) could have just said "false", but the usage of the word "inaccurate" is interesting in and of itself, as it opens up an avenue for escape if it ever does turn out that Mass Effect is headed for the PS3.

Still, the matter stands. The Mass Effect for PS3 rumor is inaccurate. Hopefully we'll hear something more concrete - either debunking or confirmation - about it soon. There's an official announcement to be made at GDC 09 about the sequel, so we may get more answers then.

"The series is coming to PS3 in some shape or form, but what was said all isn't true."

» Hmm

Maybe it being "developed" for the PS3 is inaccurate but it being PORTED is a little better?

I don't know. I just want to play it on my system...

Not to hate or anything, but I rather this stay on the xbox. It gives me something to look for for the 360 since nothing seeming appealing lately.

Seriously. That's not a reason at all.

» Screw it

See this is why I don't own an Xbox360. Most of the games that come out exclusive on the 360 end up on PC to, because the PC is microsofts "other" realm. If they can make money selling the game to people on the 360, then turn more profit to the unbaised PC, then they still dominate without selling out to another console maker. Now, yes, Sony does make PC's, but Nintendo does not. Either way you look at it, you can't go wrong if you own a PC and a PS3. PC emulates pretty much everything you would rather not own, while the ps3 exclusive games (We know how Sony is about snarfing titles to their console ONLY) are right there for the console. Plus, to put the cherry on top, you can play other badass PC games that aren't going to be released for consoles EVER. Crysis anyone? Besides, Mass Effect is the best storyline/graphics/gameplay type game that never really got its spotlight.

I guess the trilogy WILL come to PS3, but it will stay a time-exclusive for 360. Developing Mass Effect 1 for PS3 and Mass Effect 2 for PS3 and Xbox360 simultaneously would be just too much.
