The Geth are coming to clean up EA's mess - Image 1

A few days ago, we reported about a PS3 listing for Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360, PC) spotted on both an Australian online retailer and Electronic Arts' Russian website. BioWare wasn't too forthcoming about the listing, but EA is being a bit more talkative. Problem is, what they're saying doesn't bode well for those who got super excited.

The official word from EA right now is that the Mass Effect 2 listing was merely an error. Apparently there was one for Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC) as well. While this one just doesn't seem quite as possible as the one for ME2 given Valve's stance on the PS3, it has also been ruled out as a mistake. Both games have since been removed from the [publisher's website.

I could care less about L4D, but ME would sit perfectly in my PS3

Am not a fan of either game's current version anyways so the sequels don't interest me at all. Got plenty better stuff to be playing on PS3 anyways.

merely errors becasue they wasnt annoucned yet, given the nature of the gaming industry, more than likely talks about ps3 ports are and have happened, i think Mass Effect is a good possibility, l4d, idk, and well idc, because valve is being pussies about wanting to try new things and moving beyond thier comfort zone of programming, which is ridiculous and hope it becomes thier downfall, but i do enojy their games so much so. i think EA is still a cash cow, but is realizing that quality will bring them cash, as well as releasing the game on every system possible, but hell, who knows

except the part about not being interested in ME2 lol, id check it out....but its pretty far down the list compared to the upcoming games....

and could this be another one of MS's schemes? like the one about the MS employee trolling Gran Turismo? I mean, MS could be up to their dirty tricks again

Uncharted 2 comes out tonight. And I'm still playing Demon's Souls and Forza 3. I actually thought L4D was good. The only thing I really want from that game are way better graphics.

haha, we don't care about L4D not being on PS3. It's Valve's loss. That fat ***** (Gabe New*****) wants to be a Microscum fanboy, fine. He's the one loosing money.

Bullhickey! sometimes I really wonder why these types of mistakes happen so often or if they are even mistakes. The "mistake" was probably just the info being posted too early. Who knows though, pure speculation. For my personal speculation, I think ME2 is coming to PS3 but at a later date then 360/PC.

» yup

and when the developers conform this they just say it was an "error"

by Azrael_666 - 2009-10-13 08:17
» umm

why is EA posting this stuff then? is it really that easy to screw up and put those games up with EA as the publisher for a ps3 version?
