After suffering quite an extended delay, Canadian gamers still had to endure a shipment of slightly sub-par Rock Band (PS3 and Xbox 360) accessories, sending them into a rhetorical state of doom and gloom. However, EA is trying to make amends by sending replacement guitars to those who had to suffer having the guitar conk out in the first few days of playing Rock Band. There's a bit of good news about the broken guitar mishap, however. As a bonus, EA won't require gamers in Canada to turn in their faulty guitars, meaning that those affected will end up with two guitars, albeit one wouldn't be working as good as the replacement. Here's an excerpt taken from the emails sent to affected gamers:
In appreciation of the patience of our Canadian customers who placed an RMA prior to January 9th, we are not requiring customers receiving this set of RMAs to return your faulty peripheral to us and we will also be removing your credit card hold within the next few days.
So you may want to ask "what do we do with a broken guitar?" Well, some readers from Kotaku have claimed that some of the broken guitars were easy to fix. If it so happens that you're affected by this issue, you may want to do some self-repair on your controller and with some luck, you may end up with two working guitars to rock on.
